This is my interpretation, so please don't presume it's true and feel free to suggest how you interpret the symbolism in the video.

In the beginning of DHIS 3, the gang is sitting under a tree having a picnic. The penguin notices a butterfly fluttering by and landing on the chicken, which he then kills with a flyswatter. This upsets the yellow puppet in the overalls, who runs off sadly towards a tree. He then meets a butterfly who tells him about love, and it goes on from there. Well, this may have less symbolism in it, but here are some lines that I interpreted as symbolic:
"I love this tree and I love this stick and…" This is not terribly symbolic, but the following line, "That's not how it's done; you must save your love for your special one" possibly could be. The scene shows the yellow puppet imagining a lady puppet who represents his future true love. In other words, the media says that  love is a big romantic thing, and not just in the respect or friendship sense.
"This is the story of Michael, the ugliest boy in town…" At this part, the tree sings about a boy named Michael who was called ugly and weak by the townsfolk, causing him to run away and live in a cave. Maybe this connects to the theme of everyone supposedly needing a "special one", saying that maybe if someone is not in love, according to the media, they are pitiful, sad, and must have something wrong with them. It also ties into when the butterfly states that difference doesn't make a difference and that we all can live in harmony-which he just undermined with the anecdote about how nobody loved Michael because he was ugly and weak. Essentially-it ties in to how we live in a society that bombards us with "be yourself" messages, but only lets you be yourself if it's what the media likes.
"He's made for her, she's made for him, and that's the way it's always been." I'd like to think that it means that everyone should have an ideal special one out there somewhere according to the media, and they also state that everyone HAS to be in love regardless if they want to or not. Also undermining the various examples of platonic love that the puppets showed each other-hugging your friend, caring for your pet, making presents for your friend, and saying that love was about sharing and kindness-these are presented as ways to show love by the media, but they think that all love should be romantic.
That scene with Malcolm. I presume that he represents the media and society itself-he is a "king" and the puppets have to worship him like we follow what the media teaches us devoutly. The puppets need to feed Malcolm gravel or else he gets angry. Perhaps gravel represents how we have to do unpleasant things that go against our ethics to appease the media's standards because gravel is filthy. And with the "change your name, clean your brain", well, you get the idea.
Again, remember, this is how I saw the video. :)
